Funding and Internship Opportunities for Undergraduates

Link Foundation
Link Foundation supports programs to foster the theoretical basis, practical knowledge, and application of energy, simulation, and ocean engineering and instrumentation research, and to disseminate the results of that research through lectures, seminars and publications.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Hollings Undergrduate Fellowship Program
is accepting applications for a scholarship that will provide approximately 100 college undergraduates up to $29,000 to further their academic studies related to oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities; and to offer a related summer internship designed to provide "hands-on" multi-disciplinary training.

Morris K. Udall scholarships
provide up to $5,000, or the cost of tuition, fees, books, room and board, whichever is less, to sophomores and juniors who have demonstrated a strong academic record and outstanding potential for leadership. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit to two groups of students; those who study the environment or related fields, and those with Native American or Native Alaskan backgrounds who study health care or tribal public policy. Scholarship recipients are eligible for one year of support per application year on the undergraduate level. Nomination required. An applicant must be a matriculated sophomore or junior level student with a 3.5 GPA.

Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Scholarship program
will award approximately 65 scholarships to college seniors or recent graduates [mostly lower income] who will attend graduate school for this first time next fall. The awards will cover a portion of educational expenses, including tuition, living expenses, required fees and books for the selected graduate degree program. The amount and duration of awards will vary by student, and the maximum award per student is $50,000 per year.
